Most Reactive And Some Proactive

Michael D. Rourke Events 0 0

Most people watch and wait for violent sin to erupt. Most media report it and then report on the efforts to construct better barriers to minimize potential attacks.

After the headlines of mayhem, most reactive and some proactive measures are made.

Underneath the overt disorder, covert ungodly influences are feeding more vigorously the corrupt sin nature which all people are born with. So, says the Bible!

Psalm 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb; They go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies.

The innate Adamic desire to sin, however subtle or strong, has been, is, and is likely to be sensationalized through the media now and for the near future. Because that is the news.

Post event preventative reactions also make the news. As the next deranged embodiments of hate and evil watch on TV, they plan.   If a rat’s path to the cheese is blocked, a rat will find another way.

School shootings may provoke better security and that in turn may lead to school bus shootings. Rental vehicles used in the slaughter of innocent lives in the streets may provoke better background checks. That action may stimulate a series of reactions. Cold hearted motives of sin, hate and evil may feel forced to steal or hijack vehicles, to then go about the greater sin of mowing down lives.

Meanwhile the most powerful true Hope continues to be more than shunned, the promise of sure victory is still ignored because of sinful human pride. Almighty God is always willing to answer the call of a humble heart seeking help in sincerity. The remedy for sin is found in the Bible.

The word of God was given by the Holy Spirit, to holy men of God. 2 Peter 1:21 … but holy men of God[a]spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus, the Light of the world said in John 3:17-20 “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.”

John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

But the media won’t call evil sin. The media won’t mention or point to God. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only Help to fight sinful evil now and the only Savior from the consequences of sin’s penalty later.

Tragically, self-importance and human achievements fuel pride which prevents a humble heart to seek help from God.

Instead, TV’s talking heads chatter but will not comment on the immense social evils as they truly are. Why? Because everybody knows sin and evil are impossible for humans to prevent. Jesus alone has the power to change lives.

American society continues to crumble from within faster and faster and at the same time are still pushing God farther and farther out.

Those who seek truth are proactive and thank God for giving all people His Holy Word, written and fully preserved in Scripture.

The Messiah, Savior of souls from hell foretold and hoped for in the Old Testament, came in the New Testament. Jesus is the answer of love.

Lord Jesus Christ broke the chains of sin and placed salvation in the hearts of believing men and women of faith. He came once and He will return.

2 Peter 1:19-20 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;

John 14:9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?”
