Within the likelihood of growing 2016 election and national chaos are the swirling cover-ups yet to be revealed. Most people, viewers at home who don’t vote or do vote, will watch their televisions searching for exposed lies and more promised peace in their lives from political candidates.
They will endure another season of campaign advertisements full of bickering and golden shiny vows of change. However, their reality is to continue living in the inevitable erosion of a once great nation. History shows great nations rise and fall from immorality and corruption within.
Some people will or won’t be jaded by America’s failing system of democracy. Some will seek and be drawn to the truth of God. Amid the heap of disingenuous traditions, systems and events of this life there will be a few among the millions who will find God’s love, the pearl of great price.
When the grace of God comes into a life and new life faith is found the presence of God lives within. Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ is a priceless, life changing gift from God.
Jesus our Lord and Savior prays for all believers in John 17:20-23 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;
21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.”
In the New Testament, the book of Matthew chapter thirteen verse forty four, Jesus teaches a parable of a hidden treasure.
Matthew 13:44 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.”
Our Lord teaches about finding the priceless truth of God and then doing all that is possible to keep it.
Matthew 13:45-46 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.”
Pearl Of Great Price
Aimless, with no focus on hope, So lost, at the end of my rope
Truth less, eyes and ears go astray, At last, down on my knees I pray
Helpless on an empty earth, Fruitless trees burn without worth
Digging for truth all around, God’s grace came, Divine Treasure was found
Telling the world, about the Pearl of Great Price
Writing to the world, about the Pearl’s sacrifice
Singing to the world, about the Pearl’s paradise
But that old world, turns from, the Pearl of Great Price
Look in, the gift of new life came, Look out, heavens hope I proclaim
Father, You gave me faith to see, Jesus, above all You love me
Helpless on an empty earth. Fruitless trees burn without worth
Digging for truth all around. God’s grace came, Divine Treasure was found
Telling the world, about the Pearl of Great Price
Writing to the world, about the Pearl’s sacrifice
Singing to the world, about the Pearl’s paradise
But that old world, turns from, the Pearl of Great Price
Standing on an empty earth. Fruitless trees burn without worth
Digging for truth all around. God’s grace came, Divine Treasure was found
