Sins Atrophy

Michael D. Rourke Events 0 0

A great joy it is, to live in the moment of recognition, of decreasing sin. There’s a split second of profound awareness.

When you first realize the thought of sin and then realize, that thought was just confronted with power from God the Holy Spirit within.

The mind steps back from the thought of sinning and knows sin’s declining strength.

Praising God for sins atrophy comes from a grateful heart. Mind, body and soul move closer to God.

There is a thrill in the heart that longs to love Him perfectly and receive His love perfectly in our sinless glorified bodies in heaven.

On going work of God’s Spirit has suffered grief from failed attempts to say no to sin.

Because sinners love their sin, they are inclined to satisfy themselves and fight against the Holy Spirit.

The true Christian is blessed with the process of sanctification, being made holy, in the image of God the Son, Christ Jesus.

The Christian walk will be painful. Years of hypocrisy have thwarted walks with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Yet, the continual cleansing authority by God the Holy Spirit to diminish sins residual affect in life has blessed Christians more and more.

Looking back at lost sin, produces a greater love for God and greater hatred for sin in a God honoring walk.

The Spirit’s conquering work over sin in life leaves true Christians in awe of His victories.

Yet, the Word of God warns in Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before [a]a fall.

Bible reading, prayer and obedience keep sin in check as sin tries to fight back lost ground.

Christians who compromise with sin should be very unhappy. Christians are commanded to expose darkness and not to live with it.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what [a]fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what [b]communion has light with darkness?

Ephesians 5:11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

Romans 13:12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.

God’s grace provides assurance of His loving salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone. No religion, no man, no amount of good deeds saves. Just Jesus alone saves.

Having assurance, while knowing trouble, sin and evil will try to wreak havoc in life, is trusting Jesus, Who is in control. Faithful obedience will follow Jesus.

Lord Jesus Christ has won the war against sin. Battles are still fought but the war has been won. He will return and reign as King over all.

Any alertness toward sin is a blessing from a loving God, Who cares for the needs of His children. God gave His loving instructions in the Bible to obey them.

Only God saves souls. He gave a Savior, Messiah, His Son. Messiah came, Jesus saves.  Read the New Testament, the gospel of John to start.

Those who receive Jesus and obediently live to honor God, advance the gospel, point to Jesus, pray for one another and exhort each other unto good works.
