The Threshold

How wonderful it is to slice the knife’s edge of the word of God against the coarsen ears of a Christian brother.

Like iron sharpens iron are the edifying words of a brother which can rub off the blindness from getting caught up in everyday life.

In this world of increased advertising, options and decisions to make, a strain is put on Christians to think and see clearly their need to focus on Jesus.

Talking with a Christian brother is like looking at a map and plotting the right course to reach our destination which will honor God.

How great it is for the women who love Christ Jesus to be called sisters in the name of the Lord. They comfort and tune one another’s alignment in seeking God’s blessings for them and their family.

Hearing Scripture applied with the knowledge of lessons learned from experience is like re-calibrating a machine to work exactly as the Creator intended.

We will know someday how much it pleases God the Father to hear His children speak of the Fathers ways, greatness and His immense love that cares for each heart that loves his Son.

It is a wonder, to be lifted in joy by the presence of God the Holy Spirit in a conversation of Christian like-mindedness.

Directed by God the words of King Solomon read in Ecclesiastes 1:17–18 “And I set my heart to know wisdom and to know madness and folly. I perceived that this also is grasping for the wind.”

Verse 18 “For in much wisdom is much grief, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.”

The word of God alone holds the wisdom and guidance to direct our Christian paths. Seeking first the things of God we are able to see the flaws in our human wisdom.
