The Marching Call (Part One)
In awe of God, His truth and His promises I celebrate the incarnation of Christ another day as another year rolls on in God’s joyful gift of believing.
Dwelling on the profound birth of the Savior, Christ Jesus, the One and only Savior, I believe now more than ever, He will return. Considering the greatest event in world history I’m drawn more and more to God’s love for His elect and how He loves all people.
My growing love for God first began alone with the Holy Spirit. He first came subtly in what seemed periodical stirrings of my awareness. But then!
On the set day and at the perfect time God the Spirit stormed all the way into my life. He ripped apart my logic, my reasoning and everything that was normal about my abnormal life as a struggling writer.
The Holy Spirit fully shook me up letting me, causing me to believe God is real. The peace of God was shocking as it shattered old walls of self-made goals and ideals. At the same time bringing beautiful restful ease in knowing He was my Father and now all is well. The profound simplicity was a loud quiet resetting life’s values, purpose and direction at thirty six years old.
He reinforced my belief with His presence day into night and night into day. The invisible Spirit of God brought me to the Holy Scriptures teaching and lovingly convicted me of my sins. His massive all-consuming gentle presence continued to systematically brake me down allowing me to believe in Jesus as my Savior. The Holy Spirit’s love strengthened my belief daily more and more away from ignorant disbelief.
God gave me faith to trust His gracious gift of salvation through His Son Jesus. After twenty-five years I believe now what I believed then. God the Father is Holy and perfect, heaven is perfect. People are not perfect, not even fully good enough to enter God’s perfect heaven.
The human nature from Adam’s sin is a sinful nature passed on for centuries. No one is exempt. God tells us in Jeremiah 17:9 ”The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?”
The original sin nature lies, cheats and deceives our judgment and we cannot trust ourselves or our best intentions to try and reason or work out a good way of life to please God.
All people have two problems. How to avoid hell and how to get to God’s perfect heaven?
The word of God tells us in Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God has made hell, a place for sinner’s to suffer eternally. But there’s a gift, a Savior of truth and a perfect sacrifice to please a perfect God in payment for our sins.
There is only one gift from Father God that will save sinners from hell. One must recognize they are a sinner bound for hell who needs the gift of God, the Savior, Christ Jesus our Lord. They cannot save themselves in any way.
All other attempts to please God with works of righteousness in a host of false religions are forms of pride earning more prideful good works, prayers or choices all based on human achievement.
False religion rejects Jesus as God, Lord, King and Supremely the first and final word above all humans, human prophets, Popes, priests and wise men.
Our Creator God’s plans say; No Jesus no pleasing God, no Jesus no payment for our sins, no Jesus no heaven. It is Jesus and just Jesus.
One of the most subtle forms of false beliefs is the core sin problem of a person’s wrongful pride. Wrongful pride replaces the phrase “all have sinned” in Romans 3:23 with the word “I.”
Pride does not accept our Sovereign God’s gift of grace. But in place of God’s sovereignty pride says, “I” will choose to take Jesus, it’s my good work, my choice.”
Self-righteousness has no need to be humble and take God’s gift of forgiveness of sins through His Son. God’s gracious plan for the suffering, bleeding sacrifice of Jesus dying on the cross is set aside.
Someone making a choice to accept Jesus without acknowledging God’s grace to give a Savior, is attempting to rob God of His sovereignty. Refusing God’s gift has horrible consequences.
This core sin problem is so pervasive that even good men, good godly men can think they can choose to come to God on their own effort.
Without acknowledging the need of God’s grace first in drawing them to Him, their pride say’s “It was my choice.” We need to pray for their humility.
The foundation of their belief is wrong by neglecting Scripture like Ecclesiastes 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, who does good and does not sin.

For the elect or chosen of God’s grace there is a time to listen and a time to speak but never a time to keep silent with the good news gift of the gospel.
There are lost souls still out there, they are the elect people of God, which are yet to hear the words of God in Scripture. They are those that are in need to be regenerated in their soul, caused by God to be born, spiritually alive. God will activate and bring spiritual life to whomever He chooses whenever He chooses and true Christians are His ambassadors.
In the book of Acts, in the city of Corinth the Apostle Paul is assured by God to keep preaching the gospel for there were many still to hear it and be saved.
Acts 18:9-10 Now the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, “Do not be afraid, but speak and do not keep silent;
Verse 10 for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city.”
Paul preached the truths of Christ Jesus, God who came in the flesh, in Corinth to those elect who were still to be discovered. Those elect whom God had chosen were mixed in with the self-deceived or unelected.
Philippians 2:12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for his good pleasure.
Rev 3:5 “He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.”
Rev 21:7 “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.”
Never give up praying, hoping and asking God to change, soften the hearts and bring spiritual life to those family members, friends and strangers in your path.
Some of them are the elect and all are responsible to believe in Jesus as their Savior from hell. By not believing in Jesus as God, people send themselves to hell.
