What’s with these words? Prejudice, discrimination and
bias used in a negative way, a way to hinder or unfairly limit someone or a
group is thought of as being wrong.
Whereas being prejudice, using discrimination and
having bias toward some people in a positive way, lifting them up is thought
of as right. Or is it? Who decides?
What’s right and what’s wrong? Opinions will vary. Whose
opinion counts most? God’s.
Racism. The world is
doing everything it can NOT to mention God and call racism a sin.
Racial discrimination is a sin against God
first and foremost.
What is racism? Racism is negative prejudice,
discrimination and bias made manifest. It is a sin of the heart held onto
in thoughts, or acted out with words and deeds is spiritually deadly to the
soul.
Sin in the heart and mind
is intimate, covertly subtle, tricking common sense. Sin can also rage overtly
contaminating others propensity to sin.
Sin causes damage or even death to the body. Sin
ultimately sends the soul to hell.
Identifying racism as a sin is crucial in
bringing about true and real ongoing corrective change.
Trying to fix racism without calling it a sin,
is like trying to fix a flat tire by pumping air into it without patching the
hole.
Without dealing with the sinful nature problem
we are born with, human depravity, it’s like trying to operate on a bad heart with
a pair of scissors and a band aid.
Unless people address their ultimate issue with God,
heaven or hell, their efforts on fixing things is like rearranging the deck
chairs on the Titanic. Entropy continues without hope.
Pride precedes racism.
Someone’s heart upholding their will (pride) above
the will of God is sin. Above all, sin is a personal offense against God.
God hates sin, He hates them all, there is no small sin.
Over time or all at once, sin disfigures righteous pride
into inappropriate sinful pride.
Fixing the prideful sin problem is to have true
accountability to God, that is fixing racism.
Proverbs 6:16-19 New King James Version (NKJV)
16 These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an
abomination to [a]Him:
17 A[b] proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are
swift in running to evil,
19 A false witness who speaks lies, And
one who sows discord among brethren.
Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a
steadfast spirit within me
Mark 8:36 For what will it profit a man if he gains
the whole world, and loses his own soul?
Romans 12:19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves,
but rather give place to wrath; for it is
written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the
Lord
In God’s grace, He has given
all people Hope, the remedy for sin in His
Word the Bible. God promised the Messiah would come, the One, Who will take
away sins and He will pay the penalty for sins.
The Messiah came. Jesus fulfilled God’s
promise. He came, lived, died on the cross paying sins penalty and rose out
of the grave to go back to heaven.
Jesus will return for all of His faithful
followers, who believe in Him. In His strength turning away from sins in their
obedient lives, sincere Christians patiently and joyfully wait.
Jesus left us these words in, John
14:27 Peace
I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to
you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Receive
Jesus into the throne room of your heart. Invite Him to sit on the throne
and replace inappropriate sinful pride with His Righteous pride.
