What To Do About Refugees

Michael D. Rourke Events 0 0

In searching my heart trying to make sense out of what to do with the refugees I came to rest on a fact. Our God reigns. The most High God is still on the throne in total control.

I also came to rest on a prior question. Why did God allow the refugee crisis?

I’m not a politician or a general, I’m a Christian. With help from believers I could focus on the answer found in the Bible. We are to love them.

God is so gracious. He has spared the lives of hundreds of thousands in crisis from harm and death throughout the world.

God has orchestrated the lives of those in need, so others may pray and give love for their well-being and salvation. Mark 12:28-31 “…love the LORD our God…love your neighbor as yourself…”

In God’s perfect design He surrounds all people with just so much time. He squeezes people between Jesus, the Rock of Salvation, and the hard places of life.

As time ticks only His gift of grace allows spiritual life. By seeking God’s forgiveness of sins, He can cause us to cling to our souls awakening with salvation found in Christ.

John 10:27 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”

Hard times are less hard with knowing your soul is saved from hell.      God wants your attention does He have it yet? Or will it take a crisis?

The most important question on everyone’s mind should be, what am I doing with the Savior, Jesus Christ?  Time keeps ticking, the end may be in sight, and you need an answer!

*********

Without the Absolute Authority of God and the Bible we will continue to live in a world without trust.

With God and the Bible we can live in a world trusting God’s plan in the Savior Jesus Christ.

Christ lived to honor God the Father. Honoring God the Son in all we think, say and do is the path to eternity with Him by the Fathers gift of faith. Ephesians 2:8-9.

Honoring God first should be the result of asking yourself, “Is this honoring God?” Every thought, word and action should have our best intentions.

Matthew 10:28-31 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Fathers will.

30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Christians believe in faith our Saving Lord and His death on the cross is the complete finished work to pay the penalty for all our sins. Therefore by believing in faith and obediently following Christ, God sees us as sinless and heaven bound.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
